Vocal Range and Profile: Hayley Williams

Range: Bb2 - G#5 - A6
Exclamation: N/A
Vocal Type: Light Lyric Soprano(4 octaves)
Vocal Rating: A-List
Recommended Listenings: All I Wanted, Decode, Ignorance

Positives:
Voice that is well connected through out all registers. Sharp tone that allows her to be heard over the roaring instrumentation of her band, without singing too loudly. Her upper belts are full and resonant, and convey emotions better than the rest of the range. She can belt with or without her perfect utilization of mixing. Her lower notes are dark, well supported and resonant. The head voice can be airy or thick (See Miracle and The Only Exception).

The weight of the voice can be added or taken away in all registers, thanks to the help of her vocal coach. Her vibrato is one of her strongest assets, as it can make her notes roaring and can give it a mystical quality (See the chorus of Decode). She can also use a jaw vibrato properly when sick (See her acoustic performance of Decode with laryngitis). Her stamina and breath control allows her to head bang without the pitch changing, or sounding out of breath. She can also control voice cracks as a way to convey emotions (See Still Into You).

Negatives:
Her head voice and whistle register are rarely used, though this is common in Alternative and Rock music. Her upper belts can sound like shouting, and sound strained towards the top of chest voice, however some fans believe this adds character.  She has been known to blow out her voice after and during concerts due to having vocal nodes. Her vocal nodes have been damaging her voice recently, especially in the belting department, as she is losing power and range.
